GRAFFITI & URBAN EDIFICE SHOW - KCAC Underground Gallery 12/10/2010-1/15/2011
You are invited to my show at the KCAC Underground Show in KC, MO. I never considered myself a “graffiti artist”, but my digital paintings have aesthetic and conceptual links to urban graffiti, so I am showing them alongside a photographer of graffiti and an artist who paints urban edifices. This body of work presents this art form as an intuitive assertion of identity within any social construct, and as a sort of “writing on the wall” of culture. My work in this show also celebrates children, infants, mothers even God, anyone who is often ubiquitous or underappreciated with vibrant exuberance.
